I attended the Self-Care masterclass with Thakirah & thoroughly enjoyed it. It was fun, informative & enlightening. There were some excellent reminders about where I was letting myself down in terms of my own self-care routines. This class is perfect if self-care is something that you struggle with & need some clarity around. Also a wonderful way to add to your toolkit of existing knowledge with easy to understand info & opportunities to grow. I would recommend this class. Our class resonated with me on so many levels. I always thought that I had self care under the belt. Of course I thought so because I'm a well balanced person right, I make time for family, friends, massages, facials etc I'm very well balanced and I make time to take care of myself. So why do I have insomnia, endless tiredness, lethargy, regularly ill and more. You have taught me how important mental health and the people I surround myself with lends to self-care. Your session was such an eye-opener for me. Thank you. I loved the holistic approach of your self-care programme. I never thought that there are 8 types of self care! We are so focused on the physical, spiritual and emotional that we don't realise that there are others that need attention as well. What stood out for me:
1. I understand that we are different and experience differently.
2. Through self care you can learn how to honour yourself and take better care of yourself. It also allows you to understand yourself.
3. You learn how you deal with stress. You understand your sensitivity and know your triggers. Knowing yourself better in these situations. And possibly respond differently.
What I've learned:
1. Besides time, there are other things that holds us back from self-care. Eg. guilt, not feeling you're deserving. Fear of what you might find. Putting others first.
2. We need to find balance and growth in all 8 types of self care.
3. These areas interact or interplay or interconnect with each other.
4. Self care wheel... A great tool for self-assessment! You can assess for yourself where you are on the wheel in all areas.
You can choose or set your own self care goals. (And how you are going to get there).
My take aways and to implement:
- Take small steps
- Don't overwhelm yourself
- Be kind to yourself
- Get an accountability partner for these goals
- Use existing resources.
- Think smart
- Always re-visit
- Invest in self....weigh up what you are spending time and money on.
I AM DESERVING OF SELF-CARE.

I attended a group self-care Masterclass hosted by Thakirah. The class offered useful information, within a relaxed, supportive environment whereby everyone felt free to engage, share their comments and questions.
Thakirah had us participate in an interactive exercise which was very I opening, I realized that I was solely focusing on my business goals and neglecting my physical and mental health. So many of us neglect self-care and yet it is so important. Thakirah provided us with easy & convenient ways to incorporate self-care into our daily lives, which is especially helpful for me as a busy entrepreneur.
The masterclass was fun, informative and very eye-opening.
